One of the largest and most unique softball events in the world returns to Reno, Nevada July 12-14, 2024. And we’re taking everything to an entirely new level. We’re bringing in a national qualifying cornhole tournament, amping up the bracket reveal party, and partnering with Pure Sports to get you game ready! This is all in addition to the nation’s largest Homerun Derby, Team Homerun Derby, Hitting Accuracy Contest, DJs, Amp It Up Dancers, Giant Beer Pong, Fastest Beer, Most Talented Softball Player and a mess of other random contests. This Cornhole tournament is legit. It’s a national qualifier that you’ll be able to track in real time in an app. And it will be massive. The tournament will take up an entire field at Rancho San Rafael Park during Boneyard’s Friday Night Bracket Reveal Party. More info here.

Speaking of Friday night, we’re turning up the volume on our DJ, stage, dancing girls, and specials in 2024. Think your team has good stories from past Boneyard parties? Just wait.

REVAMPED PRIZE PACKAGES

And that means four days of prize giveaways. We will be handing out tens of thousands of dollars in Boneyard sponsored prizes… for MVPs, all tourneys, for striking out, for being the first teams eliminated, for, well, just because. We don’t even know when we are going to give some of the stuff out. These aren’t your typical softball awards. These are Boneyard branded prizes you can’t win anywhere else. We are doing a complete overhaul. Which will include top-of-the-line championship apparel.

Not only does Boneyard host 160 teams from all over the country, but it is home softball’s largest homerun derby, team homerun derby and softball’s only hitting accuracy contest. This is not your average softball tournament. There simply isn’t another tournament that has the production value or the number of prizes this has to offer. We will continuously re-invest in this event to keep it one of the biggest and most well-known softball events. Boneyard will continue to set the standard in recreational softball events.

There are 70+ coed teams and more than 80 men’s teams. Teams come from all over including Northern Nevada, Northern California, Orange County, Las Vegas, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Idaho, Utah, Alaska, Canada and Hawaii. Each year our regional reach continues to grow with teams from Texas, Florida, Tennessee, Georgia and beyond.

The event takes place on 14 fields and 3 complexes in Northern Nevada. City of Reno Sports Complex at Rancho San Rafael, Shadow Mountain, and one of the nation’s top recreational parks and the world’s largest all-field turf facility – Golden Eagle Regional Park.

Each year we realign our divisions, develop a new bracket system and revamp our rules so we can almost guarantee everyone plays until Sunday. It’s a three-game guarantee, but trust us when we say, it’s really hard not to play more than four games.

MEN’S OPEN (GOLD)

It’s simple, it’s open. There aren’t any classification restrictions. This bracket gets all the benefits: more homeruns, better games times, triple elimination format and teams will play the majority of their games at Golden Eagle Regional Park (one the highest ranked parks in the country). However, if you can’t hang, don’t worry. Teams that start 0-2 will battle it out against each other and the winners will drop into the winner’s bracket of the Silver Division. Top 4 will be rewarded with All Tourneys, MVPs and Gold Gloves and a tier 1 champions prize package, tier 2 prize package for 2nd and tier 3 for 3rd place.

MEN’S SILVER

All other men’s teams will start here! To start in this division you can have one of the following scenarios based the following point system:

Can have 4 points max!

D or below = 0 points

C = 2 points each

NO B or higher players

Top 4 will be rewarded. Top 4 will feature All Tourneys, MVPs and Gold Gloves and a tier 1 champions prize package, tier 2 prize package for 2nd and tier 3 for 3rd place.

MEN’S BRONZE

Teams that lose 2 games in the first 4 rounds of the Silver Division will get dropped into this division. Top 2 will feature All Tourneys, MVPs and Gold Gloves tier 3 champions prize package.

COED GOLD

All teams will start in this division! To register in this division you can have one of the following scenarios based the following point system:

Can have 6 points max!

Women Players = 0 points

Men’s E or below = 0 points

Men’s D or D+ = 1 point each

Men’s C or Higher = 2 points each

Top 4 will be rewarded. Top 4 will feature All Tourneys, MVPs and Gold Gloves and a tier 1 champions prize package, tier 2 prize package for 2nd and tier 3 for 3rd place.

COED SILVER

Teams that lose two of the first 4 rounds in the Gold Division will drop into the Coed Silver Division. Top 4 will feature All Tourneys, MVPs and Gold Gloves and a tier 2 champions prize package and tier 3 prize package for 2nd place

COED BRONZE

Each team that loses one of their first two games in the Silver Division will drop in the Bronze Division. Top 2 will feature All Tourneys, MVPs and Gold Gloves and a tier 3 champions prize package.
